What data do we collect?
Help@Home collects the following data:
- Personal identification information (Name, address, email, date of birth, and phone numbers of you the client, and your next of kin)
- Any ‘need to know’ medical / health information.
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide us with all of the data and we collect this by:
- Voluntarily completing our client agreement which you will receive a copy of for your records upon request.
How will we use your data?
We collect your data so that we can:
- Keep a comprehensive list of clients within our care.
- Act on your behalf (with your verbal or written consent) to speak to outside sources e.g. to book appointments and to attend them with you. To arrange transport requests. To speak to next of kin, carers, district nurses, and scheme managers with any concerns we may have.
- Be aware of any medical / health history or issues ( on a need-to-know basis) that may arise in an emergency.
- Use the telephone numbers provided to make follow-up calls to ensure that you are happy with the service you are receiving and to inform you of any changes to your service.
- Send greeting cards for birthdays/anniversaries / get well / sympathy or occasions.
Please note: We will not share your data with any other organisation or individual without your prior consent.
How do we store your data?
- Your client agreement is kept safe and secure through lockable storage with limited access.
- We will keep your data for as long as you are a client of Help@Home. In the event of our service ceasing, your client agreement will be shredded and securely disposed of within one month.
- We do not use your data for marketing purposes.
What are your data protection rights?
Every client is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your data.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or to complete information you believe is incomplete.
The right to opt-out – You have the right to opt-out and request that we dispose of your data.

We at Help@Home will keep its privacy policy under regular review and any updates will be made available to you immediately.
